Breeders should have a clear-cut idea of the strains of Arabian horses. Nowadays, there are three strains of Arabians. They are Kuhaylan, Saqlawi, and Muniqi. Some people also distinguish an intermediate strain called Kuhaylan-Saqlawi. A massive build and expressive eyes characterize the Kuhaylan strain. The horses of this strain are usually blue in color. Saqlawi horses have a refined build and are usually red. The third strain is basically of black color.
